Members of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of South Houston, Texas, had been serving the Arden Wood Nursing Home residents for more than two decades until COVID-19 forced them to stop all visits. In December 2022, 15 Sai volunteers resumed their visits to the Home and brought Christmas cheer to the residents. SSE children, dressed in festive Christmas attire, lifted everyone’s spirits with their jubilant singalong of several popular carols and holiday songs. The residents’ faces lit up as they listened while some merrily sang along while clapping. Volunteers gave the seniors gift bags containing a mug, blanket, and socks. They also treated the residents to snacks and sugar-free ice cream.
