Serving the Underprivileged in Zone 8

Twice a year, SSIO members from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan serve food to the underprivileged, in a joint effort, on the same day. Public Meetings in Countries of Zone 8

Public meetings are organised twice a year in Zone 8 countries to provide information about Bhagawan’s life and teachings, and about SSIO activities. In November 2014, more than 330 newcomers to the SSIO and 300 SSIO members from 44 cities attended public meetings in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine. Bhagawan’s Birthday Celebration in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine

On 23rd November 2014, more than 1,000 people celebrated Bhagawan’s birthday at various locations in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine. Serving Children in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan, in central Asia. In October 2014, Sathya Sai volunteers distributed clothes, jackets, boots, socks, and other items to children in Bishkek, as part of the global SSIO Serve the Planet initiative. A lesson on the theme, Friendship, unity and mutual help, was organised for the children, which was enjoyed by the children and their mothers, as well as the Sathya Sai volunteers.
