In early 2020, when the first COVID-19 case surfaced in Seattle, Washington area, the Sathya Sai Center of Seattle Eastside set up online Center meetings which included an hour of study circle followed by an hour of devotional singing. Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) teachers hosted online SSE classes for the older students, aged 12 and more, and the younger students received their SSE lessons via email.

In the light of the current lockdown situation, with fears and uncertainties over the pandemic, the online devotional sessions have provided solace to Center members. They applaud the efforts to bring uplifting virtual programs into their homes every week. Families sit together and elderly members appreciate the ease of joining the online events. In addition, people who have moved out of the area are able to join the online meetings.
