More than 40 people from seven Russian cities celebrated Mahashivarathri during the night of 21–22 February 2020. The evening began with a pre-recorded video talk by Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman, SSIO on the significance of Mahashivarathri, followed by chanting mantras and singing devotional songs.
In the northwest region of Russia, more than 150 people from five cities including about 50 public, celebrated Mahashivarathri. Participants discussed the significance of Mahashivarathri and their trips to Prasanthi Nilayam in India and sang devotional songs.
