On September 3, 2022, SSSIO volunteers from Trinidad and Tobago treated fifty-five Visually Impaired Persons (VIPs) of the Blind Welfare Association of Trinidad & Tobago to a fun day at the beach on the east coast of the island. This outing has become an annual event for the past twenty years. Led by SSSIO Young Adults, nearly 200 SSSIO volunteers and two representatives from the District Corporation participated in the joyful day. They interacted with the visitors, prepared and served meals, assisted the VIPs in the water, and ensured the guests’ safety.

The fun-filled day also included a cultural program/talent show presented by the SSSIO Trinidad and Tobago and the Blind Welfare Association. Guest speakers included the Chairman of the Mayaro Rio Claro Regional Corporation, the Welfare Rehabilitation Officer of the Blind Welfare Association, and the National Council President of SSSIO Trinidad and Tobago.
