On December 21, 2022, nearly 50 people, including local residents and Ukrainian refugees, celebrated Christmas at a café in Hillerod, North Zealand, near Copenhagen. A Ukrainian professional pianist and an amateur trumpeter captivated the audience with a classical concert. Children had fun decorating Christmas cookies, and adults sang songs in English and Danish, which were translated and sung in Ukrainian. A traditional Danish Christmas dance followed, and children sang Ukrainian Christmas songs. The pianist finished with a beautiful classical piece, gratefully dedicated to the lady who had provided her with a piano, as she was forced to leave her piano behind when she fled Ukraine.
