On March 5, 2023, thirty-five SSSIO volunteers from the Sri Sathya Sai Centers of Copacabana and Vila Isabel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, participated in a monthly Live the Green Life project in the Grajaú forest reserve. This project aimed to instill the importance of caring for nature and awaken feelings of gratitude to God through connecting with Mother Earth. Volunteers weeded overgrown Zebrina, an invasive plant that destroys natural vegetation. They filled 65 100-litre bags with Zebrina. The environmental engineer at the site thanked the Sai volunteers because they had accomplished in two hours what would have taken his team five days. Afterward, the Sai volunteers sang devotional songs and enjoyed a tasty snack.
