In March 2021, a significant wildfire in El Bolson of southwest Argentina destroyed more than 250 homes. SSSIO volunteers distributed clothes, shoes, blankets, and 60 bags containing oil, flour, sugar, yerba (South American green tea), candles, noodles, milk, cookies, and tea to those displaced by the wildfires.

The volunteers were especially moved when the supermarket manager where they bought and assembled the bags told them, “I’m getting goosebumps, and I’m excited to see the generous people who lovingly help others in need.”
