With COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders, the Sathya Sai Centres of the USA Pacific South Region (Region 8) adopted various means to serve their members. As part of the 95 Global Communities Initiative, the SSIO of USA, Region 8 continued to provide groceries and essential items to about 100 needy families with school children in the Santa Ana School District, California. After quarantine orders were put in place, SSIO volunteers delivered staple food items to an additional 30 families in Santa Ana, affiliated with Olive Crest, a non-profit organisation helping abused and neglected children. SSIO volunteers also used innovative means, such as online grocery order and delivery services, to supply staple food items to needy families. Similarly, the Sathya Sai Centres of Glendale and Arcadia provided groceries to 130 low-income families in Huntington Park in observance of Aradhana Mahotsavam Day.
