On 5 January 2020, members from the Sathya Sai Center of Veeramunai opened a preschool in the Ampara district. The preschool had earlier ceased operations due to various reasons, but the Sathya Sai Center of Veeramunai restarted it. Sathya Sai Education in Human Values is incorporated in the curriculum and two teachers impart values-based education to 25 children. Each student receives stationary and two sets of uniforms annually, as well as a nutritious breakfast, daily.
