Milliken Park, in northeast Scarborough, Ontario, occupies 32 hectares of public space. On 21st April 2018, 20 volunteers, including 17 members of the Sathya Sai Centre, Toronto-York, participated in a North Scarborough community clean-up at Milliken Park. Alongside members of the Walk for Values team and community groups and families, the volunteers enjoyed a valuable opportunity to demonstrate their love for selfless service. The park clean-up, a wonderful first step for the 2018 Walk for Values theme, Go Green, was a lesson on the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and showing respect to Mother Earth. The two-hour project gave SSIO volunteers an opportunity to share Bhagawan’s teachings and the message of human values with the public.
