The SSIO of Canada launched a “We Care, We Share” programme in April 2014 to serve meals to the needy from a mobile van. Every month, volunteers prepare food at the Sathya Sai Centre of Ottawa-Carleton, which is then transported in the van and served to the homeless. The service was inaugurated on 24th April 2014, in observance of Bhagawan’s Mahasamadhi, and at least 10,000 hot meals have been served so far, attesting to the programme’s success.
