About 250 SSE children from the “Serve And Inspire” (SAI) group in Oman presented a three-hour cultural programme in celebration of Easwaramma Day on 2nd May 2014 at the Sri Krishna Temple Hall in Muscat. Dressed in colourful costumes, the children presented plays and dances and recited verses from the Bhagavad Gita, to the delight of about 600 guests.
On 9th May 2014, Sathya Sai devotees in Kuwait organised an enjoyable children’s retreat, which included devotional singing, a display of arts and crafts, fun-filled games, a quiz, and plays depicting scenes from the epic, Ramayana.
More than 180 children from the Sathya Sai Centre of Abu Dhabi presented a cultural programme on the evening of 10th May 2014 to about 550 people. The programme consisted of devotional singing, recitations from the scriptures and a dance presentation about Lord Shiva. SSIO officials presented an annual report on education in human values.
In Dubai, an Easwaramma Day programme was staged by EHV students on 10th May 2014 at the Indian High School auditorium in Dubai. About 940 Sathya Sai devotees attended the programme, which included a play interspersed with songs and dances by about 220 children.
The SSIO of Bahrain celebrated Easwaramma Day on 24th May 2014 with a programme by the SSE children titled “Nava Vidha Bhakti” (Nine Types of Devotion). Nine groups of SSE children presented nine forms of devotion through songs, dances, plays, dance-drama and visual effects to more than 750 people. The Chief Guest was the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Guest of Honour was the Chairman of the Indian School of Bahrain, which is the largest school in Bahrain, with over 12,000 students.
