On March 14, 2026, the Young Adults (YA) of the SSSIO of Trinidad and Tobago (SSSIOTT) organized a hike to the Bamboo Cathedral in Tucker Valley, Chaguaramas, on the west coast of Trinidad. The Bamboo Cathedral is a paved trail that passes through lush vegetation and a natural bamboo canopy forming a cathedral-like archway leading to a historic tracking station.

The event drew 78 attendees, including 35 Young Adults and 14 members from the community. The hike began with a prayer, warm-up exercises, and an address by SSSIOTT National Council President Ms. Kaloutie Sumairsingh. The outing was organized to promote an appreciation for nature and encourage camaraderie among the participants. As the group made its way along the trail, participants supported and encouraged one another, reaching the summit together.
