During the 2026 Holiday Season, the SSE Student Council of SSSIO-USA’s North-Central Region (Region 5) organized a book drive for children living in local shelters. Over two weeks, Sai center families across the region donated gently used and newly purchased storybooks, along with coloring books, picture books, crayons, markers, and pencils. One Student Council member from the Detroit Metro Sai Center reflected: “I felt truly blessed to see our Sai center unite to brighten a child’s day. Watching the children light up as they chose their own coloring books and supplies was a heartwarming reminder of how meaningful even small acts of kindness can be.”
