Inspired by Sathya Sai’s message of compassion for all beings, SSE children at the Sri Sathya Sai Center, Seattle Eastside, decided to bring comfort to animals in need during the bitterly cold winter. They, along with their teachers and parents, created blankets for the Seattle Humane Society, a local organization that cares for and rescues abandoned and abused animals.

It was a wonderful team effort. Older SSE students and volunteers prepared blanket-making kits, held a demonstration session, and created an online tutorial for the younger children. The children eagerly took their kits home to craft their blankets, each stitched with love and care. Once completed, the blankets were delivered to the Seattle Humane Society, where they provided much-needed warmth to the animals.
