Since 2021, the Sai Spiritual Education (SSE) students of the Sathya Sai Center of Tri-Valley, California, have been getting together to prepare 50 sandwich bags every second Sunday afternoon of the month. The children pack a juice box, cookies, fruit, a granola bar, and cheese sticks in each bag. The bags are then delivered to East Bay Community Recovery Project for distribution to the homeless. This service project has touched many hearts and inspired young volunteers. One SSE student commented, “I love this project. I feel happy when I think how a sandwich brings a smile to the person who receives it.“
