The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Northeast Atlanta, Georgia, celebrated Chinese New Year 2023 by highlighting a fundamental Confucian value, filial piety – the primary duty of respect, obedience, and care for one’s elderly family members. They honored their senior members by holding a devotional session where the elders led the singing. A family member highlighted each elder’s selfless contributions to the family, Sai Center, and community. They expressed gratitude, love, and deep respect for all their elders had done for them. Each senior also received the gift of a blanket. The seniors were deeply moved and felt the celebration and gift were a blessing from Baba Himself. The program was touching and inspirational, bringing members closer together as a Sai Center.
