SSSIO members from Prague held a Christmas program in the chapel of the Sue Ryder Home, a nursing home for seniors suffering from ill health. The in-person Christmas vigil had been eagerly waited for. Introductory prayers and silent meditation were followed by readings of well-known biblical passages such as the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, the Birth of Jesus, the Proclamation to the Shepherds, and the Adoration of the Three Kings. Everyone then burst into joyful music and sang traditional Christmas carols such as Adeste Fideles (Oh Come All Ye Faithful) and contemporary Christian hymns. In the end, there was simple refreshment and an exchange of small, symbolic gifts.
