The Sri Sathya Sai Center of Chelmsford in Massachusetts collaborated with the International Institute of New England (IINE) to help Afghan refugee families recently resettled in the Greater Boston area by providing groceries to help them through the first few weeks. A few bags of groceries were delivered to an initial group of refugee families. The second set of groceries was dropped off at the IINE office the following day. As they dropped off the groceries, a case manager arrived, exhausted from a trip to the market and disappointed that she couldn’t get the vegetables, basmati rice, and spices on the list. However, she was delighted to see all these items in the neatly packaged grocery bags ready to be distributed.
