On July 17, 2022, the Ladies Wing of the SSSIO Trinidad and Tobago held a team-building activity to develop a deeper appreciation and respect for Mother Nature. The day started with 20 devotees at the Point-a-Pierre National Wildfowl Trust of Trinidad and Tobago, a wetland rainforest and fresh-water sanctuary for endangered wetland birds. The participants learned interesting facts about the sanctuary, which is home to over 70 unique species of trees and 109 species of birds. There is also a breeding colony of the Scarlet Ibis, one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago. The sanctuary was the perfect place for the team-building activity as its Motto is ‘To Know is to Love, to Love is to Preserve.’
