On 18th August 2017, 15 volunteers, including 11 from the Sathya Sai Centre of Sonjastraat, distributed school supplies to 52 children from needy families in Groningen, Sarammacca district. The children, ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade, expressed joy and gratitude by reciting a beautiful poem dedicated to the volunteers. On 2nd September 2017, four members of the Sai Centre along with five SSE children distributed school supplies to 53 children in the Commewijne district. Three volunteers gave away 20 additional packages of school supplies in rural areas.
