On 28th October 2017, 18 SSIO members and about 70 others met for interfaith prayers under the theme “Heal the Environment and Love the Planet” (HELP), at the Sathya Sai Centre in Edmonton. SSE students of all faiths prayed to Mother Earth, expressing their gratitude. The interfaith prayers served not only to convey gratitude to Mother Earth but also to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary. The youth presented colourful performances, including a French poem, a dance show and songs in Spanish, Zulu, Hindi and French. The audience greatly appreciated the children’s performance and the wonderful programme. In recent years, the Sathya Sai Centre of Edmonton has sought to develop a closer relationship with various faith communities. In March 2017, the Centre participated in a Unity of Faiths event.
