The Sri Sathya Sai Suva Sevana Cancer Hospice opened on 6th July 2002 to serve needy and forsaken cancer patients.  Since its inception, more than 450 terminal cancer patients have received loving and compassionate care at this facility, staffed by a supervising physician, three doctors, and seventeen staff members. Sathya Sai volunteers attend to the hospice residents regularly, serving home-cooked meals, conducting bhajans, and recounting their loving experiences with Sathya Sai Baba. They also celebrate notable festivals with the patients, including Thai Pongal, Buddha Poornima, and Christmas.
