Four SSIO members from Belgium and the Netherlands delivered food items, sleeping bags, shoes, and clothing to a large warehouse in Calais, which supports many refugees sheltered in camps. The SSIO volunteers, having become familiar by their third trip, were warmly received by the warehouse operators, who helped them unload and arrange the goods. Volunteers delivered fresh food, clothing, sleeping gear, and toiletries to more than 1,000 refugees living in the open spaces around Calais. The warehouse also supplies truckloads of food and other items to refugee camps in France, Greece, Italy, Serbia, Turkey, and Lebanon.
