On 20th December 2016, eight members of the Sathya Sai Centre of Arnhem gathered for an annual Christmas visit to Eldenstaete, an institution for elderly people suffering from dementia, located near Arnhem in the Netherlands. The volunteers entertained ten residents in a specially decorated area by singing Christmas songs, accompanied by a harmonium and a guitar. Nearly all the elderly residents knew the songs by heart and joined in the singing merrily. A Christmas story about the meaning of Christmas was then read aloud, and the programme ended with more songs.
