On May 31, 2026, members of the SSSIO New South Wales gathered at the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Five Dock for the Sai Cushions Seva Project, sewing cushions for breast cancer patients at Westmead Hospital in partnership with the Zonta Club. The service continued an effort which began in January, when 150 cushions were made and donated after the hospital’s first request. Young Adults, SSE students and adults worked side by side, with several first-time participants learning to sew alongside more experienced hands. By day’s end, 150 more cushions were completed and delivered, bringing comfort to patients recovering from surgery.
