In mid-October, members of the Southern Region of Russia participated in the “Zonal Serving the Needy” project. A group of 48 volunteers from 10 centers and groups prepared meals for 128 people and animals. The volunteers made dishes such as dried cabbage soup, stews, buckwheat porridge, and cakes that were distributed at churches, squares, and on the streets. Along with providing food, the volunteers sang bhajans and chanted the Gayatri Mantra. In one city, a family donated vegetables and fruits from their garden. The volunteers also fed birds and homeless animals. Every participant was thankful for the opportunity to serve and share love with all.
At the end of September 2024, the “Leadership and Speaking Skills” seminar was held at the Siberian Branch of the European Sathya Sai Education (ESSE) Institute Campus in Zone 8. Attended by 28 participants from 11 Russian cities, the seminar focused on improving public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. Attendees learned effective speaking techniques, overcoming challenges, and preparing engaging presentations, including creating “mind maps” for speeches. The seminar emphasized the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, focusing on love, truth, and selfless service. The participants were grateful for the opportunity to deepen their spiritual understanding and strengthen their connection with the divine.
