On July 6, 2025, the Sai Barra Funda Group, from Southeast Region I of the SSSIO of Brazil, organized another monthly food distribution at the Boraceia Shelter Center, in São Paulo. Volunteers have distributed 200 to 300 snacks monthly since 2023.
In light of the growing social vulnerability in the city, the food service also offered the recipients love, respect, and care – a human touch which is often overlooked. Two SSSIO members and five volunteers served approximately 250 people. Each meal was prepared with love, reinforcing that true service goes beyond external action.
A SSSIO member stated, “It is quite frequent that we hear reports from those we serve, as they receive sweet rice or a snack. One of the phrases that touches us the most is: ‘I just remembered my mother.’ Yes, it was with this love of the divine mother that we prepared all the sweets and snacks we served. Thus, we do not distribute just snacks — we distribute Sai Love.”
