The annual Fun Day event for children with special needs in Auckland, New Zealand, was held on March 15, 2025. The event featured various games, performances, face painting, body art, delicious food, and a magic show. Around 350 people attended, including 54 special needs children, 60 caregivers, and 67 SSSIO volunteers. The event took place at Malborough Park, a community facility managed by the Kaipatiki Community Trust. Youth Town, a community organization catering to special children, assisted with the provision of a hall. Other community groups, including the Tzu Chi Foundation, Zoroastrian Organization of NZ, Islam Group of NZ, HWCL Group of South Korea, and NZCL – Disability Foundation of NZ, also participated.

The joy and smiles of the children, adults, and volunteers were evidence of the success of the event. Feedback from attendees and volunteers was positive, with suggestions for similar events to be hosted in the South Auckland area. Overall, the event was a day of joy, entertainment, and community strengthening.
