In honor of the 99th year of the advent of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Colombo Center of Western & Southern Region (W&S) and the Northern Region of SSSIO Sri Lanka organized two blood donation camps on October 20 and 24, 2024, in Jaffna and Colombo, respectively.
The Colombo camp, held at the Sai Mandir, witnessed a turnout of 56 participants. The camp was managed by a devoted team comprising five volunteers, five skilled nursing officers, and one on-site blood bank doctor. In Jaffna, 55 blood donors were supported by three nursing officers, a doctor, a public health inspector, seven volunteers, and six enthusiastic youth members. The camps in Colombo and Jaffna collected 63 life-saving pints of blood in total.
Both camps united communities in a spirit of compassion, sharing the gift of life and upholding Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s message of universal love.
