The special occasion of Aradhana Mahotsavam in 2025 was observed in Auckland by three SSSIO groups. Each celebration was conducted differently, with bhajans being a common feature. At the Mt. Eden, Balmoral & Mt. Roskill Centers, a total of 75 devotees joined together to commemorate the day. The festivities included Vedic chanting, bhajans, sharing of experiences, and prasadam.
The East Auckland Center celebrated the occasion with around 40 devotees. It commenced with the Lord’s prayer and Te Aroha, an indigenous Maori prayer invoking love, faith, and peace for all. It also included other prayers and the chanting of Swami’s 108 names. A devotee spoke about Gem No. 17 from the book, 108 Gems, and the event wrapped up with bhajans.
The Hamilton Center had approximately 25 devotees observing the occasion with an evening of Gayatri chanting, devotional singing, and Arathi. Many devotees were encouraged to lead a song as an offering to Swami on this special day. Swami’s presence was felt during the singing of His favorite bhajans ‘Hari Bhajana Bina Sukh Shanti Nahi’ (without singing to the Lord, there’s no peace or happiness) and ‘Prema Muditha Manase Kaho Rama, Rama, Ram’ (with heart and mind full of love and devotion, recite the name of Lord Rama).
