On April 22 and 23, the Sathya Sai School of Human Values in Funza, Colombia, came alive with joy and purpose as students, teachers, and families united to celebrate International Human Values Day. The first day began with a neighborhood walk that combined community integration with environmental responsibility. Students and teachers cleaned the streets as they walked, singing songs that shared an uplifting message about the importance of living by human values. Later, second and third-grade students visited the Pozo Hondo wetland, where they explored the local biodiversity and reflected on the vital role we all play in caring for our environment.

On the second day,  the school grounds were transformed into a vibrant space of service, creativity, and collaboration. Parents and children engaged in interactive art workshops, each centered on a specific human value. These hands-on activities encouraged reflection, teamwork, and meaningful dialogue, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. From concept to creation, the experience served as a powerful reminder of the importance of human values in daily life. A total of 106 students and 15 teachers took part in this two-day celebration, further strengthening the school community’s shared commitment to values-based education and environmental stewardship.
