The SSSIO of New Zealand held a leadership workshop in Auckland in March 2024 for 40 people, including young adults, who were past, present, and aspiring office bearers.
The workshop, featuring presentations from leaders of SSSIO Australia, focused on practical and interactive learning. It drew upon the collective wisdom and contributions of all participants. Breakout sessions provided a platform to explore the challenges and opportunities facing the SSSIO. These issues were then prioritized, with solutions identified and mapped out for moving forward. The workshop successfully fostered collaboration, transparency, proactiveness, inclusivity, and strategic planning within SSSIO New Zealand. Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. One participant shared, “The weekend workshop was another great reminder of our purpose in His Organization. Being an office bearer is an opportunity to serve with responsibility, which leads to transformation. I hope this will inspire others to become proactive and take on roles at the center level first and then move on.”
