On October 19, 2024, the Young Adults of the Sri Sathya Sai Center of Colombo organized a heartfelt outing for seniors from the Sai Elders Home in Meegoda. This initiative exemplified their commitment to service and community, offering the elders a day filled with love and joy.
The outing included visits to several sacred places of worship, beginning with the tranquil Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya, a Buddhist temple, where the elders reflected in a serene environment. Next, they attended a prayer session at St. Mary’s Church in Dehiwala, enjoying the beauty of the liturgy. Their journey concluded at the Aishwarya Lakshmi Amman Kovil in Wellawatte, a Hindu temple, where they offered prayers.
Returning to the Sai Mandir, the elders participated in an engaging, interactive session filled with laughter and companionship. The day ended with a delicious lunch, leaving smiles of joy and contentment on the faces of all participants.
This beautiful day blended devotion, joy, and fellowship, embodying the values taught by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The elders returned home with cherished memories, reaffirming the spirit of love and service that unites us all.
