Motivated by the urgent need to combat the resurgence of COVID-19, growing homelessness, and the influx of Venezuelan migrants, SSSIO members hosted a medical camp in Denver to demonstrate love in action. The Colorado Health Department helped identify three local homeless shelters with the greatest healthcare needs. On November 18, 2023, the vision of these eager volunteers was realized. More than 40 dedicated SSSIO volunteers joined forces with 28 medical professionals from various specialties, including internal medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, and women’s health, to serve 38 people from diverse backgrounds. The participants also received crystal prayer bracelets, nourishing lunches, and essential toiletries.
