On September 23, 2023, the Sai Center of Fortaleza in Ceará, Brazil, hosted a Medical Camp at the Spiritist Society of Fortaleza (SSF) as part of the SAI 100 Project and “Love In Action” initiative. 14 SSSIO members and 19 other volunteers organized 24 medical consultations, 20 nursing pre-appointments, 12 Myofascial Release sessions, and other services.
The event honored Sai Baba of Shirdi and served 60 elderly people from “Casa de Maria Alice.” Medical consultations were given in general practice and geriatrics, integrative therapies, and mental well-being workshops, as well as cosmetics and recycling workshops. Volunteers distributed vegetarian snacks, including 120 slices of pizza and 96 cashew fruit juices. A portion of the snacks and beverages was also donated to the SSF’s “solidarity fridge,” a public resource for the needy. In closing, the participants received posters with messages of love from Sri Sathya Sai Baba, and volunteers were honored with certificates of participation.
