Mahashivaratri was observed in Kazakhstan by more than 70 people in six cities. The programme began with a pre-recorded talk by Dr. Narendranath Reddy, Chairman, SSIO on the significance of Mahashivarathri. The participants also watched films about Sri Sathya Sai Baba, which stressed the importance of the holy night. Many devotees shared their experiences with Swami, while visiting Prasanthi Nilayam in India. The celebration continued through the night with light meditation and singing devotional songs, until dawn.
