On 16 February 2020, SSIO Canada joined 27 other faith groups in Toronto to commemorate the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week, at the Interfaith Festival of Creation.  The event, which took place during the annual Family Day weekend was attended by over 1,000 people, including many children. The focus of the festival was on celebrating Earth, the value of creation, and cultivating awareness to create a more environmentally sustainable planet. The event included music, prayer, meditation, film, booths, food, poetry, reflections, and children’s activities.

SSIO engaged shared information about activities related to Educare, Medicare, Sociocare with the community. Sathya Sai Baba’s teaching, Nature is the Vesture of God, and Living the Five Human Values for Mother Earth, was communicated through a booth, a poster, and video presentation from SSIO’s Environmental Sustainability website. The SSIO booth showcased practicing the five universal human values of truth, right conduct, peace, love, and nonviolence in daily life to protect and preserve Mother Earth. Participants were eager to learn about love in action and ceiling on desires. They understood the positive impact one could make on our planet by limiting the use of natural resources.
