The Belvedere Care Centre located in the City of Coquitlam, British Columbia, provides safety and comfort to seniors, who need 24-hour ongoing transitional care. For the past 17 years, members of the Coquitlam Sathya Sai Centre have organised sing-along sessions to entertain the seniors at this facility, during their Saturday recreation programme. Depending on the occasion, the songs pertain to Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Christmas. On 10th February 2018, 16 SSIO volunteers organised an interactive programme to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The elderly residents joyfully participated in the festivities and even came to the floor to sing and dance with the volunteers. The seniors greatly enjoyed the programme, evident from their smiles and tears of joy, while reminiscing their younger days.
