The KAI from SAI food project was launched on the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima in Auckland.  With the sharp rise in homelessness in recent years, many people struggle to get a single meal a day. The primary objective of this project is to provide meals for the needy each day of the year. Approximately 180 SSIO members from various Sathya Sai Centres in Auckland prepared the meals. In the first 6 weeks since inception, the programme received excellent feedback from the local community. The Auckland City Council has also acknowledged and supported the initiative.
