On 4th August 2018, 90 SSIO volunteers set across New South Wales, visiting six nursing homes in Quakers Hill, Greystanes, Merrylands, Baulkham Hills, Carlingford and Ryde, in metropolitan New South Wales. Through music and games, the volunteers interacted and bonded with individual residents. In one instance, the music and atmosphere were so lively and full of joy that a resident surmised that Christmas had come early! In turn, the volunteers were inspired by the enriching life experiences shared by the residents.
