On 24th February 2018, the Sathya Sai Centre of Toronto-York organised a career workshop to inspire and guide over 100 SSE children as well as young adults enrolled in the first two years of university. The workshop provided an opportunity for the children and youth to interact with professionals from different fields and benefit from their counsel in choosing a career path. Four eminent speakers, including the president of Bell Mobility, the vice president of Sotheby’s, a senior information management executive from the city of Cambridge, and a doctor from Trillium Health Partners, gave inspiring talks, sharing their life experiences and motivating the aspirations of the next generation. The workshop provided parents with pertinent information on financing, scholarships, and college information and encouraged them to respect the career choices of their children. Several sessions were held with selected mentors from the SSIO, for both parents and children. All mentoring sessions ended with a relevant message from Sathya Sai Baba on the importance of a values-based education and career.
