In April 2017, many of the 85 Sathya Sai Centres and bhajan units in Malaysia served food to the needy, with each unit offering meals to 100–500 homeless individuals in their respective communities. About 500 volunteers joyfully served an estimated 5,000 people in this country-wide coordinated service project, in honour of Baba’s memory. SSIO members also contemplated Sathya Sai Baba’s messages, putting them into practice for 40 days, from 22nd March to 30th April 2017.
