Human Values Day Observed in Italy

In observance of World Human Values Day, 24th April 2017, six members of the Quartu S. Elena Sathya Sai Centre in Cagliari cleaned up an archaeological site known as “Tomb of the Giants,” near the Mediterranean Sea. The volunteers covered a wider area than anticipated due to the large amount of waste material encountered.

On World Human Values Day, members of the Sathya Sai Centres and Groups of Emilia-Romagna, Marche, and Toscana, helped needy families and entertained them with devotional songs.

On the same day, Sathya Sai volunteers distributed food and personal hygiene products to the needy, working with the social services group of the Municipality of Faenza. SSIO members distributed 150 food bags and 140 packets of hygiene products. In addition, homeless people and large families were given additional food and supplies. About 35 SSIO members also served both hot lunches and dinners to 120 guests at a soup kitchen in the Sathya Sai Centre of Faenza.
