On 29th June 2017, Sathya Sai followers dressed in red and white, the colours of the Canadian flag, joined more than 50 community members to celebrate their cultural diversity as Canadians and their essential unity as one people. The Centre came alive with scintillating bhajans amidst the vibrant red-and-white colours, followed by a rendering of the birthday song for the nation.

On 25th June, members of the Toronto-York Sathya Sai Centre partnered with the government Department of Canadian Heritage to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. In keeping with Baba’s teachings, the festivities offered an opportunity for all to reflect and be grateful for the blessings of their home and nation. A flag pole was installed at the Centre premises and the Canadian flag hoisted by distinguished elders, while all gathered sang in unison the national anthem, “O Canada.”
