Sathya Sai volunteers in the Victoria region, in collaboration with the Whitehorse Interfaith Network, organised an All-Faiths Music Festival at Box Hill Town Hall on 16th August 2015. More than 350 guests and dignitaries attended this landmark event, including Mr. Ross Alatsas, Acting Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission; Ms. Anna Burke, Federal Member of Chisholm; Mayor Paul McLeish of the Manningham Council; Mayor Andrew Munroe; and Councillors Andrew Davenport and Bill Bennett of the Whitehorse Council. Following the lighting of the “Lamp of Oneness” by the leaders of various faiths, music and dances were presented by 10 groups representing different faith traditions and religions. Sathya Sai volunteers and members of Hindu and Christian faiths joined in performances by Buddhists, Sikhs, Muslims, and whirling dervishes from the Sufi tradition. It was a unique display of unity in diversity, with performances by men, women, and children of multiple ages, ethnicities, and religions.
