In 2014, the river Kupa flooded the village, Letovanic, near Sisak, Croatia, damaging homes, gardens, and household belongings. During October–December 2014, Sathya Sai volunteers assisted 15 local families by donating groceries, clothes, bedding, furniture, and building material. Books were also collected and donated to the local school library. Volunteers also organised a Christmas programme to bring cheer and joy to the flood-affected residents of Letovanic, Zazina, Petrovac and Farkasevac.
