The Sathya Sai Centre of Tampa Bay, Florida, in partnership with the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, Pinellas County Health Department and Northside Hospital, held a dental camp on 26th July 2014 at the health department facilities in St. Petersburg, Florida. One dentist, eight dental hygienists, five nurses, two physicians and 18 volunteers offered dental services to 60 low-income, uninsured patients who were pre-screened. All patients were tested for blood pressure and blood sugar. Sathya Sai volunteers also served breakfast and lunch. After dental examinations and teeth cleaning, each patient received a dental care kit upon exit. One of the patients remarked, “This is the best experience at a dental facility I’ve ever had in my whole life. I’m 31 years of age and I have never been treated so kindly, so gently and with so much respect. I was very happy.”
