Members of the SSIO in Oman celebrated Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 89th Birthday by undertaking various activities during November 2014. On 21st November, 300 people attended a programme which included a video presentation on service projects, a performance by SSE children on human values, and Qawali songs about Bhagawan. On 23rd November, all seven Sathya Sai centres of Oman organised devotional programmes, attended by 50–75 SSIO members at each centre. Among other activities in late 2014, on 5th December, SSE children presented a two-hour cultural programme to more than 600 people in Salalah. In the Sohar region, Sathya Sai volunteers served food to 250 low-income workers at industrial camps in November. In Muscat, about 280 people attended a health awareness camp on 14th November, and Sathya Sai volunteers served food to 200 people in December. In addition, new shirts were distributed to 150 labourers, and groceries were distributed to needy Omani families and foreign workers in November.
